Cr Cheryl Szatow

Cr Cheryl Szatow (pronounced "Chateau") has lived in Killara for 26 years and has represented the Gordon Ward since 2008. She has professional experience in education, health, research, marketing and communication and holds a Bachelor of Arts with English and History majors (Sydney), a Master of Education (Administration) (Hons) (UNE) and a Master of Research in Modern History (Macquarie).

Cr Szatow previously served as Mayor from 2015 - 2016 and as Deputy Mayor from 2012 - 2013.

Cr Szatow is currently a member on the Eryldene Trust, Marian Street Theatre Reference Committee and Sydney North Planning Panel.

Previously, Cr Szatow served as Chair of the Heritage Reference Committee, was a representative on the Board of KYDS and served on the Ku-ring-gai Police and Community Safety Committee. From 2014 - 2017 Cr Szatow was appointed to the Sydney North Planning Panel. Cr Szatow has also served as Sydney Convenor of the National Foundation for Australian Women.

Her special interests are in the areas of heritage, education and sustainability. A keen theatre-goer and lover of classical music, she is also passionate about supporting the arts in Ku-ring-gai.
