Ku-ring-gai Council will host the forum with local sporting groups on Wednesday 5 July.

The Sports Forum is an annual event for Ku-ring-gai’s sporting groups and associations to meet Council staff and get updates on major projects and other sporting matters.

Nearly 50 sports representatives have attended previous forums on behalf of the four football codes, netball, cricket, baseball, basketball, Oztag, archery and school sports.

This year’s Forum will be held between 6pm and 8pm on Wednesday 5 July at Level 1, Ku-ring-gai Council Depot, 5 Suakin Street Pymble.

Guest speakers Helen Armson and Hayley Todd from Football NSW will discuss the Women’s Legacy Program for the code.

Council staff will present information on proposed sportsfield upgrades and projects already underway.

They will also discuss Ku-ring-gai’s Recreation Needs Study and plans of management for sportsfields which the Council is currently undertaking.

Mayor Jeff Pettett said the forum was an important event for sporting groups to hear about Council plans for the future.

“It’s a chance for everyone to meet face-to-face with Council staff and get the latest information on sports facilities and their management.”

To RSVP to the Sports Forum contact Ku-ring-gai Council by email at sportsfieldbookings@krg.nsw.gov.au, by 28 June.
