Electric vehicles

Green transport is gaining in popularity all across the globe. A report from Bloomberg estimates that sales will surpass that of petrol and diesel vehicles within the next 20 years. (Australian Government, 2019)

As of March 2019, transport accounted for 18.8 percent of Australia’s GHG emissions. With expected uptake of electric vehicles in Australia it is estimated that they will displace a combined 13.7 million barrels per day of oil demand by 2040.

Purchasing a new vehicle

You can explore and compare current available models on Australian government’s ‘Green vehicle guide’.
