Implementation-program

Council has established several programs to deliver new or upgraded community infrastructure (such as parks, playgrounds, shopping precinct improvements) that are funded or co-funded by development contributions. These programs are linked to strategies, master plans or other guiding documents which are prepared by Council to ensure timely and coordinated delivery.

The Ku-ring-gai Contributions Plan 2010 typically applies to large developments such as apartment buildings that occur in and around the Local Centres along the Pacific Highway and Mona Vale Road. Read more about Council’s s7.11 Contributions Plan.

The Ku-ring-gai s7.12 Local Levy Contributions Plan typically applies to small-scale development such as alterations and additions to homes, as well as ‘knock-down rebuilds’. District Parks Upgrade Program

A program of works to improve the quality of District Parks.

Local Centre Streetscapes Improvement Program

A program to improve the amenity and accessibility of the streets within our Local Centres.

Local Centres Road Improvement Program

In response to increased development, Council is delivering improvements to existing roads and intersections in the Local Centres.

Open Space Acquisition Program

An award-winning program to provide new local parks for the community.

Neighbourhood Centres Revitalisation Program

A program to upgrade the 14 Neighbourhood Centres across Ku-ring-gai.

Play Space Upgrade Program

A long term program of works to upgrade and expand existing playgrounds.
