Seniors in nature

Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden offers a monthly Seniors in Nature program on the last Friday of every month, providing over 55s the opportunity to connect with nature through a variety of experiences including guided walks, bushfoods, fauna encounters, nature art and other sensory experiences.

Private ranger-led activities

Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden also offers excursions for private groups such as live in facilities, probus groups and other community organisations. All themes are delivered at Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden or can be delivered as an incursion.

Themes

Plant Stories

What makes a gum a gum? Or a hakea a hakea? Come with us on a tour of some “secret” corners of the KWG, and learn about the amazing histories, adaptations and relationships of our native flora.

Animal Encounters

Australia is home to some truly unique animal species. Today we’ll meet some of our reptilian and invertebrate cousins, and go looking for some mammals in the wild.

Bushfoods

There are so many varieties of edible and palatable plant species at the Wildflower Garden. Let’s find and sample some of them, as well as some natively inspired jams.

Wild Welcome

Are you new to the Wildflower Garden? Or can’t make a choice on the above themes? Then have your cake and eat it too and have a variety of experiences with a mixed tour that involves a briefer look at our plants, animals and bushfoods.

Pricing and how to book

$90 per hour for excursion and $94 per hour for incursion (within 15km radius of Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden). A bushfoods morning tea is also available for $5 per person (minimum six people). To book, email us to check availability.
