Register of Clause 4.6 variations

Council is required to keep a register of Clause 4.6 variations to a development standard up to 1 November 2023, which is located below. Variations to development standards approved after 1 November 2023 can be accessed online via the NSW Planning Portal Variations Register | Planning Portal - Department of Planning and Environment (nsw.gov.au)

Variations are only supported in particular circumstances where strict compliance would be unreasonable or unnecessary and there are sufficient environmental planning grounds to justify contravening the development standard.

An application proposing a variation to a standard, must be supported by a written submission demonstrating how the development meets the provisions of Clause 4.6 of the relevant Environmental Planning Instrument.
