Community volunteer opportunities

Ku-ring-gai Hornsby Volunteer Service provides free volunteer listing and referral services to local community organisations. If your community organisation/group would like to list any volunteering opportunities here, please email your request and a detailed description to volunteers@krg.nsw.gov.au or call 9424 0970 to discuss with the Volunteer Services Coordinator.

Easy Care Gardening looks after the gardens of people who are older so that they can stay living safety in their own homes. All levels of gardening experience welcome. They provide tools and training. Covid Safe practises are in place for all clients gardens.

Community aid volunteers

Lifeline provides social support for frail aged people 65 years or older. The volunteers form part of the Community Services team and provide a variety of services for older clients, eg. transport to appointments, companionship visits, accompanied shopping.
