Youth Forum 2025

At Ku-ring-gai Council’s Youth Forum 2025, over 100 students from local high schools came together to share their voices, ideas and aspirations for the future of Ku-ring-gai.

Stay tuned — we’ll be sharing more about the ideas raised and how they’ll influence the future of youth programs in Ku-ring-gai!

Ku-ring-gai youth mural project – Youth Week 2025

Dear future, with love from Ku-ring-gai’s youth

The vibrant mural was created in collaboration with Council, local young people and artist Jeff McCann. Designed to reflect the voices of Ku-ring-gai’s young people, the mural features the words, descriptions and phrases contributed by local youth in response to the prompts:

“We are Ku-ring-gai. We are ……..” “We aren’t becoming. We are…….”

The mural celebrates the identity, aspirations and sense of belonging of Ku-ring-gai’s next generation and is located at St Ives Community Centre.
