Cr Alec Taylor

Cr Alec Taylor grew up in Ku-ring-gai and currently resides in Lindfield with his wife and three children. After a successful corporate career he switched gears to focus on serving the community and supporting his family. His business career was primarily focused on strategy and planning in financial services. 

Cr Taylor has a Bachelor of Science (Statistics) from Macquarie and a Masters of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He does casual disability support work through Mable and volunteers for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. 

As a councillor he is focused on transparent representation and engagement with the community, resisting over-development, preserving our natural environment and increasing the availability of recreational facilities.

  • Ku-ring-gai Local Area Command (LAC) Community Safety Precinct Committee - Lindfield to North Sydney - Delegate
  • Hornsby/Ku-ring-gai Rural Fire Service District Liaison Committee - Alternate
  • Hornsby/Ku-ring-gai Bush Fire Management Committee (BFMC) -  Alternate
