Free business program on wealth creation
Published on 16 August 2024
Ku-ring-gai businessowners are invited to a free three-week session on maintaining mental wellbeing, achieving financial literacy and creating wealth.
The program is the latest in the Council’s business networking program, which offers free and low-cost professional development courses to local business owners.
The three-week program will be conducted online and runs for three weeks in September, with participants invited to take part in sessions either on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
The sessions are being hosted by the MAP Institute in partnership with Oshia Psychology. They are specifically designed for small businesspeople to address the critical areas of mental health and financial literacy that are essential in today's dynamic business environment.
In the first week the program will delve into maintaining mental wellbeing, including recognising and coping with burnout and handling difficult customers.
This session will be led by a clinical psychologist who will provide practical strategies to enhance mental resilience.
The second session deals with financial literacy, where participants will learn key financial ratios for monitoring, managing and improving their business and how these crucial metrics help in making informed financial decisions.
The final session focusses on the psychology of wealth creation and the interplay between financial health and psychological wellbeing.
