Night road work, pedestrian bridge safety screen upgrade

Transport for NSW is improving safety at the pedestrian bridge over the Pacific Highway at Coonanbarra Road, Wahroonga.

TfNSW will be installing mesh safety screens to fully enclose the pedestrian bridge.

During the night works, Temporary bridge closures with pedestrian detours will be in place for safety.

TfNSW will be working for up to 15 nights shifts between Monday 23 June and Friday 15 August 2025, weather and work site conditions permitting. The work hours will be between 9pm and 5am from Sunday to Thursday.

Work will be completed at night only. The bridge will be open as normal during the day.

The work will be completed by ConnectSydney, chosen delivery partner of Transport for NSW. Residents and businesses nearby have received notification of this work.
