Get Ready Ku-ring-gai Street Meet

The Rural Fire Service and Ku-ring-gai Council are hosting a series of street meets in bushfire prone areas of Ku-ring-gai. These street meets are a great opportunity to connect with your neighbours and hear expert advice on identifying bushfire risks in your street and how to prepare your home, family and community for the bushfire season. Plus, enjoy a free sausage sizzle!

Preparing for bushfires is not an individual effort - it’s something we all need to do together. Stronger connections between neighbours means faster and more coordinated responses during emergencies, which can save lives and property and supports faster recovery after an extreme event.

Whether you're new to the area or have lived here for years, this is a great way to connect and strengthen your neighbourhood.

We have Street Meets planned for selected streets across Ku-ring-gai. Residents of selected streets are invited to join us for a casual, informal evening where you can chat one-on-one with local bushfire specialists. Come along whenever it suits you between 5.30-7pm.

• Tuesday 18 November 5.30pm-7pm - Gwydir Avenue Reserve, North Turramurra for residents of: Bobbin Head Rd, Buna Cl, Curagul Rd, Du Faur St, Gawler Pl, Gwydir Ave, Hartley Cl, Hopkins Pl, Kirkpatrick St, Leura Cr, Murrua Rd, Nagle Pl, Nenoturs Pl, St Columbans Green, Stratton Pl.
• Wednesday 19 November 5.30pm-7pm - Morona Avenue Reserve, Wahroonga for residents of: Aleta Cl, Beltana Pl, Browns Rd, Eurong St, Fox Valley Rd, Jordan Rd, Kallang Pde, Kerala Ave, Kiogle St, Leuna Ave, Lisa Valley Cl, Moona Pde, Morona Ave, Seymour Cl, Terrell Ave, The Broadway, The Comenarra Parkway, Warwick Pl, Wongalee Ave, Yanilla Ave
• Thursday 27 November 5.30pm-7pm at City View Park, South Turramurra for residents of: Ashburton Ave, Buller St, Currong Pl, Eden Ave, Geoffrey St, Havelock St, Kissing Point Rd, Koombalah Ave, Maxwell St, Radnor Pl, Robin Ave.

Register online to enter the draw, with prizes given away at each event. Limit one entry per person. Prizes will only be awarded to residents of the nominated streets for each Street Meet. Residents must register and attend event to win.
