Get Ready Ku-ring-gai street meet
Next date: Monday, 30 June 2025 | 05:30 PM
to 07:00 PM
With bushfire season upon us, being prepared is more important than ever. The Rural Fire Service and Ku-ring-gai Council are hosting a series of street meets in bushfire prone areas of Ku-ring-gai. These street meets are a great opportunity to connect with your neighbours and hear expert advice on identifying bushfire risks in your street and how to prepare your home, family and community for the bushfire season. Plus, enjoy a free sausage sizzle!
Preparing for bushfires is not an individual effort - it’s something we all need to do together. Stronger connections between neighbours means faster and more coordinated responses during emergencies, which can save lives and property and supports faster recovery after an extreme event.
Whether you're new to the area or have lived here for years, this is a great way to connect and strengthen your neighbourhood.
We have Street Meets planned for selected streets across Ku-ring-gai. Residents of selected streets will be contacted via mail.
