Get Ready Ku-ring-gai Street Meet

The Rural Fire Service and Ku-ring-gai Council are hosting a series of street meets in bushfire prone areas of Ku-ring-gai. These street meets are a great opportunity to connect with your neighbours and hear expert advice on identifying bushfire risks in your street and how to prepare your home, family and community for the bushfire season. Plus, enjoy a free sausage sizzle!

Preparing for bushfires is not an individual effort - it’s something we all need to do together. Stronger connections between neighbours means faster and more coordinated responses during emergencies, which can save lives and property and supports faster recovery after an extreme event.

Whether you're new to the area or have lived here for years, this is a great way to connect and strengthen your neighbourhood.

We have Street Meets planned for selected streets across Ku-ring-gai. Residents of selected streets are invited to join us for a casual, informal evening where you can chat one-on-one with local bushfire specialists. Come along whenever it suits you between the allocated time.

• Wednesday 21 October 5.30pm - 7pm at Bryce Oval, St Ives

  For residents of: Barcoo Pl, Barra Brui Cr, Burdekin Cr, Burraneer Ave, Eastern Arterial Rd (part), Kilpa Pl, Moorhouse Ave, Nicholson Ave, Stratford Pl, Woodvale Cl.

• Thursday 22 October 5.30pm - 7pm at Kissing Point Village Green, South Turramurra

  For residents of: Alfred Pl, Anderson Ave, Barwon Ave, Benning Ave, Bowen Ave, Chisholm St, Cove St, Hinkler Ave, Kingsford Ave, Lyon Ave, Paroo Pl, Robinson Pl, Saddington St, Ulm Ave, Vernon St.

Register online to enter the draw, with prizes given away at each event. Limit one entry per person. Prizes will only be awarded to residents of the nominated streets for each Street Meet. Residents must register and attend event to win.
