Introduction to life drawing

Our one-off life drawing class offers students the opportunity to try out drawing the human figure from live models. This full day introduction will allow you to practice drawing the naked form in a series of poses from quick sketch work to longer, more considered studies.

Your tutor, Gemma King, will guide you in understanding how to observe form, direction, and movement in your subject. You’ll learn how to use light and shadow to create depth and dimension. Focusing on anatomy, proportion and gesture, the class encourages observation, skill development, and artistic expression. Whether for beginners or advanced artists, this hands-on experience helps improve accuracy, technique, and the understanding of the human form.
