Crime fiction is such a popular genre there are too many authors to choose from, so we've picked two for our latest author talk.
Jane Caro AM is a Walkley Award-winning Australian columnist, author, novelist, broadcaster, documentary maker, feminist and social commentator.
Her latest novel Lyrebird is the story of Jessica Weston, who twenty years earlier heard a lyrebird mimicking the screams of a dying woman. Now a body has been found in the same location. In response, Jessica reunites with Megan Blaxland, the only police officer who took her concerns seriously, and they resolve to whatever it takes to solve the case.
Tanya Scott is a doctor and medical educator turned author, whose debut novel Stillwater is published by A&U. Her clinical knowledge and professional experience give her fiction a compelling emotional and psychological depth.
In Stillwater, Luke Harris is back in his hometown of Melbourne and determined to build a quiet life. But his past was anything but peaceful and it’s all about to catch up with him. As his past and present collide, can Luke keep his long-held secrets? He walked away once. Walking away again might get him killed.
Join us for one night only at Gordon Library when these two remarkable writers discuss all things crime and why we can't stop reading about it.
