Cr Wheatley lives in the Wahroonga and was elected to Council in 2021. She has been a Ku-ring-gai resident for many years, with her three daughters all attending school in Pymble.
Cr Wheatley has a strong corporate background and has held several positions as a senior executive in Australia and the United States. She has a wealth of experience in business, planning, budgeting, organisational and communication skills.
In this Council term Cr Wheatley was appointed to:

- Heritage Reference Committee - Chair.
- North Shore Local Area Command [LAC] Community Safety Precinct Committee Lindfield to Brooklyn - Delegate.
