Adventure awaits: Ku-ring-gai’s winter school holiday program

The winter break just got even better, with Ku-ring-gai Council offering a fun school holidays program for kids of all ages.
Ku-ring-gai Council is running a range of events and workshops to keep school-aged children entertained across the mid-year holidays.
Kids can run wild at Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden in St Ives with so many exciting adventures including:
- Bush survival skills training
- Family campfire experiences
- Mystic adventures with fantasy-based crafts
- Nature connection art workshop
- Dinosaur adventures and fossil digs
- Camping and cooking sessions
- Junior ecologist day
- Magical macramé gum leaves workshop
- Terrific turtles walk
- Animal encounters and junior animal keeper sessions
- Nature adventurers and tree ropes course
- Minibeasts and bug hunting day
Ku-ring-gai Art Centre in Roseville is running a range of creative classes including painting, drawing, pottery, wheel throwing, pop art, journaling and much more.
At Ku-ring-gai Library branches, kids can learn how to code their own animations, play Dungeons and Dragons, listen to story time, learn to crochet, meet an author, take their teddy to the Teddy Bear Hospital or enjoy a dinosaur themed craft workshop.
Older children can participate in a number of youth events including baking classes, an Amazing Race and practical workshops to develop hospitality and résumé skills.
You can also swing by Gordon Golf Course, where the Active Ku-ring-gai Kids program is running school holiday clinics for junior and intermediate golfers.
Vacation Care will also be running from Monday 7 July to Friday 18 July at West Pymble, West Lindfield and St Ives. Children will enjoy arts, crafts, games, sports and fun excursions in a safe, secure and caring environment.
