Ku-ring-gai’s Spring Flowers Celebration in full bloom next month
Published on 28 August 2025
Shoppers will be able to enjoy a vibrant visual display of potted colour at St Ives and East Lindfield, as part of this year’s Spring Flowers Celebration.
From Monday 1 September 180 pots containing flowers such as marigolds, pansies, daisies and dianthus will be installed in the St Ives shops bordering Mona Vale Road and the East Lindfield shops.
The display will be in place for up to eight weeks, depending on weather conditions.
Four large feature pots have been painted by students from East Lindfield Public School.
This year’s display will be the sixth time that Ku-ring-gai streets have been brightened by the Spring Flowers Celebration, which started in 2019.
The display helps activate local shopping centres and encourages residents to shop in their local area.
In previous years spring flowers have adorned Ku-ring-gai suburbs such as Gordon, West Pymble, Roseville and South Turramurra.
After the display, plants will be provided to Plant Rescue Ku-ring-gai to re-home within the community.
Mayor Christine Kay said she hoped residents would get into the spirit of spring after recent wet weather in Sydney.
“Brightening up our retail areas is part of our overall plan to help small business thrive in Ku-ring-gai”, Mayor Kay said.
Residents can share their images of the Spring Flower Celebration on social media using the hashtag #krgspringflowers
