Womens Leadership and Inspiration Award 2025

The Ku-ring-gai Council Women’s Leadership and Inspiration Award celebrates local women who are making a real difference in our community. It recognises those who show leadership, speak up for others and are committed to creating a more equal and inclusive society.

This award is part of Council’s ongoing commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment. It recognises and celebrates the achievements of women in our community who are driving positive change, whether through their work, volunteering, or everyday actions that inspire others.

Next steps

  • A selection panel chaired by the Mayor and including up to 3 community members of the Status of Women Advisory Committee will review the nominations, scoring them against the assessment criteria.
  • The award will be announced and presented at an event on 17 September at Killara Golf Club. The event will also kick off an initiative with Dress for Success as a charity partner. We’ll be launching a clothing donation drive that will run for a few weeks following the event.
