Sprout green ideas at Sustainable Early Learning Expo
Published on 26 September 2025
Local childcare operators, preschools and early learning educators are invited to attend a free sustainability expo hosted by Better Business Partnership.
Ku-ring-gai Council is proud to support the Sustainable Early Learning Expo on Monday 20 October, from 5:30pm to 8pm at the Dougherty Community Centre, Chatswood.
This free event is a must-attend for childcare professionals, preschool operators, and early learning educators keen to embed sustainability in their daily practices.
Mayor of Ku-ring-gai Christine Kay said the expo will help educators to take the first step towards eco-conscious learning environments.
“Educating young children about sustainability starts with creating eco-conscious learning environments. It’s about making smart choices now that children will carry for life,” Mayor Kay said.
“Together we can shape a sustainable future for our communities — one child at a time.”
Attendees will discover practical ways to reduce waste and recycle in early learning settings, explore innovative products and services and network with other educators and eco-suppliers.
Better Business Partnership is a joint initiative by Ku-ring-gai, North Sydney and Willoughby Councils, together with Sydney Water and the NSW Government.
The project is designed to improve the sustainability of businesses on Sydney’s North Shore.
Better Business Partnership works with small to medium businesses to save money through reduced energy and water bills and improve their environmental performance. It is free to join.
