New Western Sydney International Airport flight paths

The new Western Sydney Airport is set to open for domestic and international travellers and freight by late 2026.

The Australian Government has released the preliminary flight paths and the draft Environmental Impact Statement for the community to view. It will be on exhibition until 31 January 2024.

The draft Environmental Impact Statement examines:

  • The proposed flight paths' environmental, health, social and economic impacts.
  • Proposed ways to manage impacts, including a draft Noise Insulation and Property Acquisition policy.
  • How the preliminary flight paths will impact flight paths and procedures at other Sydney airports.

Read the draft Environmental Impact Statement and use the updated Noise Tool
