Disclosure of political gifts & donations

The Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 requires individuals, groups and organisations to declare any political gifts or donations made when submitting development applications or related applications.

Disclosure statements are required if you:

  • make a planning application and you (or someone with a financial interest in the application) has made reportable political donations up to or exceeding $1000;
  • make a planning application and you (or someone with a financial interest in the application) has given gifts of money, property, services or valuables to a Councillor or Council employee in the two years before the application;
  • make a submission in regards to a planning application and you or an associate have made reportable political donations up to or exceeding $1000;
  • make a submission in regards to a planning application and you or an associate have given gifts of money, property, services or valuables to a Ccouncillor or Council employee in the two years before the submission.
