Renaming of Environmental Zones
As of 1 December 2021, a reference to an Environment Protection zone E1, E2, E3 or E4 in a document should be taken to be a reference to a Conservation zone C1, C2, C3 or C4.

Changes to business and industrial zones
The Department of Planning and Environment has replaced the business and industrial zones in Local Environmental Plans with new employment zones.
The new employment zones commenced within the Ku-ring-gai Local Environmental Plan on 26 April 2023. From 26 April 2023, in a document a reference to a former business zone is taken to include a reference to a new employment zone.
