The North Turramurra Recreation Area was created at the end of Bobbin Head Road, following the permanent closure of the former Council rubbish tip. It contains a championship standard 18-hole golf course, sportsfields and a car park.

The sportsfields comprise a synthetic turf soccer field, small synthetic practice areas, two natural turf soccer fields for the winter season, cricket nets and a cricket pitch. The facility also offers lighting for night time training and games.

North Turramurra Recreation Area opened in 2014 providing community recreation facilities.

Following representations from the Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) in 2021, Council provided landowners consent which allowed the NSFA to submit a Development Application to upgrade soccer facilities, including a new grandstand. The upgrade and the new grandstand is proposed to be fully funded by NSFA, through a combination of grants and Association funds.

A Development Application was approved 24 October 2022.

In February 2023, Council resolved to continue to work with NSFA on the contractual documents addressing community concerns and project viability.
