Join Council's Strategic Bushfire Officer, Mark 'Skippy' Schuster for an insightful street walk around Council's first Tree Trail in Gordon and Killara. Mark has worked and lived amongst large trees all his life and regards them as friends. Learn about the tree species, interesting facts about their ecology and relationship to our environment along this fascinating walk.
This walk will take participants along the Killior'ra Tree Trail in Gordon and Killara, starting and finishing at Heritage Square on St Johns Avenue, Gordon. The walk will follow the tree trail loop and participants will learn about the importance of Ku-ring-gai's Street Trees and our Urban Forest.
Killior'ra Tree Trail Ku-ring-gai
Wear: closed toe sturdy walking shoes, outdoor walking clothes, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
Bring: water bottle
Meeting location: Heritage Square, 20A St Johns Ave, Gordon NSW 2072
This walk will go ahead in light rain, if more extreme weather is forecast, the walk will be rescheduled and participants notified via email 24 hours prior.
Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.
