Young Curators at Grace Cossington Smith Gallery

Next date: Tuesday, 24 June 2025 | 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM

Grace Cossington Smith Gallery

An exhibition at the Grace Cossington Smith Gallery in which Young Curators from Abbotsleigh and Hornsby Girls High School, facilitated by 3:33 Art Projects, present works by artist Tina Havelock Stevens.

Tina Havelock-Stevens is a contemporary artist with a background in documentary film making and as a drummer in rock and post-punk bands. She produces videos of performance projects and installations along with reworking old family photographs. Students from Abbotsleigh and Hornsby Girls High School worked as a curatorial team to meet Havelock Stevens and select works to present their vision of her art.

The innovative Young Curators program is managed by 3:33 Art Projects, run by Max Germanos, which supports education in the creative arts and provides unique experiences for visual art students, participating schools and the broader community whilst supporting Australian artists.

Gallery open Tuesday to Saturday 10am - 5pm.
