Beasts and creatures

In the first part of the class, students will create imaginative creatures using brown cardboard, such as the type used for boxes. The session will begin with visual inspiration, showing examples of animals, monsters, and fantasy characters to spark ideas. Students will then sketch their own creature before moving into construction. They will cut, assemble and build their designs using cardboard, glue sticks, and tape. Once the structure is complete, students will add colour and details using crayons or oil pastels.

In the second part of the class, students will work with air-dry clay to create functional pencil holders. Each student will design their pencil holder inspired by an animal or creature of their choice.
