Drawing essentials

Learn the technical grounding in observation and sketching to develop your skills in pencil, charcoal and beyond. You will discover how to focus on the essentials that form the basis of your practice.  

Through the course, you will have the chance to work with a range of drawing media learning the unique character and effects of each. 

All levels of artists are welcome, in particular this class is suitable for beginners and those wishing to improve their drawing skills. 

Materials required

• Lead pencils HB through to 8B  
• A3 cartridge drawing book  
• Ink with a brush.  
• Heavier paper 200gsm or above.  
• Black paper and charcoal  
• Any other materials that you already have and wish to explore!
