OzHarvest
Council partners with OzHarvest to save food
Ku-ring-gai Council and OzHarvest are partnering together to collect quality surplus food from local businesses and donate to charities in need.
You could be one of over 2000 food donors giving back to the community, saving money on waste bills and reducing your businesses environmental footprint.
OzHarvest is a for-impact organisation that has been in operation for 10 years and has delivered over 38 million meals, saving 12 million kilograms of waste from landfill. OzHarvest has 14 vans on the road in Sydney and one van dedicated to rescuing food around your business.
It’s easy for businesses to donate food. OzHarvest collects fruit, vegetables, meats, cooked meals, prepacked vacuum items, tinned or packet or boxed food items, baked goods, drinks, dairy products and eggs.
All food donations will be collected for free and delivered by Ozharvest to the receiving charities.
Should you wish to become a food donor or have any questions regarding the program, please call OzHarvest on 1800 108 006.
