Our April school holiday program has everything from art classes to band nights and pyjama storytime.

The Council’s school holiday activities run from 15 - 26 April.

We're kicking off with a free band night, Sound Waves, in St Ives which will include local bands, food, pop-up games and urban art. Other activities for young people include a giant inflatable soccer pool and Colour Flix - an obstacle course with copious amounts of colourful Holi powder paint.

Holiday activities can be booked at the Council’s vacation care centres across Ku-ring-gai. Vacation care offers children arts and crafts, games, sports, excursions and educational experiences during the holidays.

The Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden has listed its top 5 must do for families that love nature including:

  1. Full day program for 6-12yrs with animal encounters, nature adventures and art
  2. New teen program such as fauna keepers and survival skills
  3. Nature Play 2-6 years featuring Wombat Stew and Possum Magic
  4. Sunset family animal walk
  5. Family campfire experience

For creative kids, the Ku-ring-gai Art Centre at Roseville has a huge range of classes such as design a video game character, craft a crown, park painting, pet portraiture, papier mache, writing and pottery.

Over at our libraries there is pyjama storytime, scavenger hunt, mystery writing workshop and lots of lego, space craft and Dungeon and Dragons.

And of course for those aspiring golfers and tennis players wanting to work on their swing, our popular Junior Golf and Junior Tennis programs are on again.

Mayor Sam Ngai said the autumn school holidays had ‘something for everyone’.

“From toddlers to teens and whether your child is sporty, musical or creative we’ve got an activity to keep them entertained. Just go to our website at krg.nsw.gov.au/schoolholidays to find out more and book in.”
