Ku-ring-gai Play Space Strategy

The Ku-ring-gai Play Space Strategy guides the development and management of play spaces. Council is committed to delivering high quality spaces that meet the needs of a growing and diverse population.

There are currently 104 play spaces across Ku-ring-gai classified as either local, district or regional.

The Strategy comprises three parts:

• Ku-ring-gai Play Space Strategy(PDF, 23MB) - sets out the key objectives, principles and actions.
• Volume One - Analysis and Principles(PDF, 20MB) - an overview of Ku-ring-gai and its current resourcing for play spaces. The principles underpinning play are articulated and their application in relation to Ku-ring-gai’s conditions.
• Volume Two - Play Spaces Assessments(PDF, 50MB) - a tabulated assessment of each play space, outlining its current condition and recommendations for improvements, along with a priority rating.

The Strategy was adopted by Council on 28 April 2020.
