What to expect

Join our Net Zero Champions as they host a kids toys, books and clothes swap for ages 0-12. Bring along gently used kids clothes and toys and swap them for fresh additions to your little one's wardrobe and toy collection. It's a fantastic opportunity to give pre-loved items a new life, while discovering exciting new treasures. We encourage you to take more than you bring, ensuring everyone benefits in reducing waste.

What to bring

Clothes:

Used clothes, shoes and hats in good condition that you would be happy to wear. Please don't bring underwear or dirty or broken/torn items.

Toys:

1. Gently used: gently used toys are preferred. Items should be in good condition, free from significant wear and tear and with all essential parts intact.

2. Please only bring toys that are smaller than a backpack.

3. Cleanliness: please clean and sanitise your toys. This includes wiping surfaces, checking for dust and ensuring that toys are free from any dirt or grime.

4. No broken or damaged items: broken or heavily damaged toys will not be accepted.

5. Working mechanisms: toys with mechanical or electronic components should be in working order.

6. Complete sets: bring complete sets of toys. If a toy originally came with specific accessories, pieces, or instructions, ask that these components be included for a more satisfying swapping experience.

7. Battery check: If applicable, check and replace batteries in battery-operated toys.

How does this impact Net Zero: Waste

By exchanging used clothes and toys and giving them a longer life, you will help to reduce the amount of clothing sent to landfill and contribute to our zero emissions goals.
