Ku-ring-gai Council is installing chargers at three new locations to support the growing uptake of electric vehicles by local residents.

The chargers are being installed next month and will be ready to use by July.

The additional EV charging stations will be located at North Turramurra Golf Course, the Ku-ring-gai Aquatic & Fitness Centre at West Pymble and close to Turramurra Library.

The installation costs are being met by Ku-ring-gai’s environmental levy.

The Lindfield Village Green car park in Milray Street which opened in 2022 also contains 15 public EV charging points.

The Council is working to make EV chargers accessible across the local area, as part of its action plan to make Ku-ring-gai a net zero community by 2040.

Mayor Sam Ngai said further locations for chargers were being investigated.

“Ultimately we want residents in each suburb to have multiple public and private charging options.”
