Road openings
A road opening permit allows a person to excavate public assets such as roads and road shoulders, footpaths, kerb and gutter and nature strips. A permit is required by Council prior to any work taking place.
Please note: larger projects involving construction/reconstruction of Council infrastructure under a Development Approval require Roads Act Approval rather than a road opening permit. Driveway applications are also considered under a separate application.
