Now in its 24th year, National Walk Safely to School Day is an annual event when all Primary School children will be encouraged to walk and commute safely to school. It is a community event seeking to promote Road Safety, Health, Public Transport and the Environment.

Ku-ring-gai Council is supporting Walk Safely to School Day on Friday 19 May 2023 by offering Ku-ring-gai primary schools holding an event with pedometers and reflective bag tags.

Primary schools are required to register for Ku-ring-gai Council’s promotion by Monday 8 May. 

Note: This promotion is open to primary schools within the Ku-ring-gai Local Government Area only.

Primary schools holding an event on Walk Safely to School Day may submit an order and these will be assessed by Council’s Road Safety Officer. Stock is limited and colours are selected at random.
